Chad's sister was all smiles and maybe a tear or two as he and Jessica stood at the altar. The couple invited all their guests to receive communion and had a moment of peace where guest were able to greet each other during the ceremony.

Jessica poses outside the Cathedral of the Assumption during our pre-ceremony session. I worked with the larger wedding party, but pulled her and her maid and matron aside for a quick little session in her last few free minutes before the ceremony started.
The groom, Chad, thanks those walking past the Cathedral of the Assumption who are wishing him good luck on his wedding day.
Chad's groomsmen really lay it on him as they walk down the street. His guys really ribbed, popped and flew out of nowhere to ruff him up a bit before the corsages went on and things settled down. His guys really stepped up and showed their love and support, which helped ease some of the pre-wedding jitters.
Chad and his groomsmen arrive at the Cathedral of the Assumption in downtown Louisville. After a relaxing morning, the guys show up with their games faces on and ready to go!
Jessica's stylist puts the finishing touches to her prior to leaving the house en route to the Cathedral of the Assumption in downtown Louisville. Jessica and her bridesmaids had a real nice, relaxing morning as they prepared for the day.
Yes, it just so worked out that Chad and Jessica's wedding fell on the NCAA Final 4 tournament game between UK and UofL. The couple leaned more toward UK, but it was all about the wedding between the two of them that was the overall winner of the day. There was playful banter throughout the day, but the guests really did rise above their fandom and cheered on the couple.
Jessica's dress hangs in a tree outside her parent's house as she and her wedding party are in the attendance of stylists and makeup artists, hours before the ceremony.
21C Hotel was the couple's final destination of the day, and I was able to follow along with them to the art gallery downstairs from their room. The gallery offers static as well as interactive pieces of art and offers a wonderful atmosphere for eclectic photography.
Tim and Sarah share some time after leaving their reception at 300 Spring in Jeffersonville. The couple were able to take time for themselves in small increments throughout the day. We also planned shooting in downtown Louisville after the reception. I do offer FULL DAY coverage in all of my packages, so I'm up for making the absolute most of every minute we have available.
Tim, Sarah and their wedding party goof around at rainy Ashland Park in Jeffersonville en route to the reception. We stopped off at the park to do a little more relaxed session. If at all possible, I really do like working a third location into a wedding day, as it does make for more variety.
Tim and Sarah make their way out of the reception through guests lined along the entrance to 300 Spring in Jeffersonville. The couple escaped in a limo and just the three of us met up shortly thereafter for more photographs in downtwon Louisville.
Photo booths are a total hoot at receptions! It really tends to loosen up the crowd and get them in a festive mood. Unfortunately, I don't usually carry a horned Viking helmet with me when I shoot a wedding, but there's always the option of a larger bag. Needless to say, Tim and Sarah had a great time at the reception too.
I've found that it's better to work with Mother Nature and work with the beauty she provides if the Bride, Groom and wedding party are up for it. If there's a chance of rain, I have to go buy an umbrella since I have a very long string of buying umbrellas on weekends when the forcast isn't so favorable only having to not use it at all and having wonderful weather. Needless to say, the people in the returns department at Target guess that I shot a wedding the day before when I return the umbrella on Sunday.
Newlyweds Tim and Sarah share a few moments of peace in the hustle and bustle of their wedding day. The couple were married in tthe same church as the groom's parents and we did some of the same photos anew from his parents album to tie the generations together.
Sarah and her Maid of Honor, Sarah, wrapped in the trane, show the closeness of their friendship on the steps to what used to be the main altar at the church.
I had a blast working with Sarah and the rest of the wedding party. Everyone was such fun and they really supported the couple throughout the day. Walking through the sanctuary, Sarah just happened to walk under one of the spotlights which lead to this dramatic shot.
Tim and his groomsmen show their goofy side as I work with them on location prior to the ceremony. I love working with both sides of the wedding party to help them show their true colors. I tend to offer some help in getting them confortable and loosened up on such a busy day.
Jackie and her bridesmaids started the day off at Images Salon on Grinstead Rd in Louisville, having their hair done for her big day. As a photographer, I love spending the day with my clients as it's the start of an unfolding story that lasts a lifetime. Starting the morning off with the ladies for their hair, nail & makeup sessions helps include me in everything that unfolds throughout the day and lets me in to capture those little things that make the day so memorable.
The sun is setting on Beth and Andrew's wedding day, but we stopped by the covered bridge at the entrance to Wooded Glenn in Henryville, Indiana, for a shot prior to the couple's entrance to their reception.
